Wioletta is a Certified Translator (English-Polish) with over 20 years of experience in the translation field. She taught Polish Language courses at the University of Alberta, and served as VP North Alberta for ATIA. Wioletta holds Master’s degrees in Translation Studies as well as Art & Design and Humanities Computing, both from the University of Alberta. Her scholarly interests encompass the life and work of Magdalena Samozwaniec, the Kossak Family phenomenon, and Holocaust memory. Her work was published in TranscUlturAl: A Journal of Translation and Cultural Studies, Studies in Translation – History and Theory, Studies in Translation – Cultural and Linguistic Issues in Translation, TransLit: An Anthology of Literary Translation, and the Los Angeles Review.
