Uliana Prosvirina earned her MA in Russian/English Translation and Interpretation from Monterey Institute of International Studies. The multidisciplinary focus of her program has prepared her to become a highly qualified translator and interpreter, with knowledge of computer assisted translation, translation and localization management and conference interpretation. These skills have allowed Uliana to become flexible in a number and variety of professional tasks she can carry out. She worked as a Medical Interpreter Intern at Stanford Hospital and Clinics and has knowledge of medical terminology and experience interpreting for patients and translating medical texts. She also worked as an immigration interpreter and translator and has experience interpreting for clients during immigration interviews and appointments.
Uliana’s extensive customer service experience comes from hosting, serving and managing at four restaurants in the US, two of which were corporate establishments. She also has experience in banking and sales through her previous work as a bank teller and a sales manager. All of her employers considered customer satisfaction as their highest priority. Thus, Uliana has developed the ability to satisfy the needs of even the most demanding customers and has learned an appreciation for and comfort level with people of different cultures, ages, and walks of life.
On a personal level Uliana considers herself a responsible, trustworthy, motivated and knowledge thirsty person, who loves working with people and constantly thrives to become a better professional.
