🌐Wordscope & ChatGPT for Translators Webinar by Philippe Mercier ~ FREE ~ April 7

April 7, 2026 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Zoom

Philippe Mercier began his career as an IT consultant and author of a dozen software programming books published by Hachette France.

His passion for writing and his expertise in IT quickly led him to the world of translation and software localization, where he participated in numerous projects and held various positions within translation agencies. Drawing on his experience in IT and his understanding of the challenges faced by translators, he has always strived to develop innovative solutions to meet their specific needs.

More recently, he has incorporated the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, such as machine translation and ChatGPT, into a CAT tool (Wordscope). This integration aims to assist translators in enhancing the quality and speed of their services, addressing the growing demand for translation in our globalized world.

Webinar Description:

The translation industry continues to evolve rapidly, with artificial intelligence playing an increasingly significant role in professional workflows. In this free webinar, presenter Philippe Mercier will demonstrate how Wordscope, an advanced computer-assisted translation (CAT) platform available for both Mac and PC, integrates with AI tools to support translators and enhance productivity.

Participants will learn how Wordscope combines multiple machine translation engines, terminology databases, and private glossaries that connect seamlessly with DeepL and ChatGPT. This integrated environment allows translators to generate more accurate, context-aware translations while maintaining consistent terminology across projects.

Who Should Attend? This session is suitable for both experienced translators and those exploring new ways to integrate AI into their workflows. It offers valuable insight into how language professionals can effectively use AI tools while maintaining quality, efficiency, and professional control.

During this webinar, participants will learn how to:

  • Compare translation suggestions from multiple machine translation engines to select the most contextually appropriate option.
  • Use integrated AI tools to research terminology, clarify complex concepts, rephrase sentences, and review grammar and style without switching platforms.
  • Create customized AI-assisted workflows by linking private glossaries to DeepL and ChatGPT to ensure consistent terminology for each client.
  • Access trusted terminology databases integrated directly into the Wordscope environment.

By combining these tools with private translation memories, participants will gain practical strategies to improve translation quality, increase efficiency, and confidently integrate AI into their professional workflows.
