Samah Elzahaby is a Certified English–Arabic Translator with more than 25 years of experience in translation, interpreting, and language services. She is also an Associate Translator (AR→EN) and an Associate Court, Medical, and Community Interpreter (AR↔EN).
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Al-Alsun (Foreign Languages), Ain Shams University in Cairo, where she studied translation and linguistics from 1994 to 1998.
Samah began her professional career in 1998, translating technical, economic, marketing, educational, scientific, and social research materials. She has also translated a wide range of legal documents such as contracts and personal civil-status documents (birth certificates, IDs, driver’s licences, passports, and more). Over the years, she has translated and co-translated several books between English and Arabic.
Around 2007, she expanded her work into simultaneous and consecutive interpreting in legal, business, and conference settings. Since settling in Canada, she has worked as a Court, Medical, and Community Interpreter for more than seven years.
For Samah, translation, interpreting, and writing are not merely professions—they are vehicles for clarity, cultural connection, and genuine support for people in moments where language is essential. She is committed to providing accurate, timely translations that meet clients’ needs with care and professionalism.

سماح الذهبي مترجمة معتمدة من الإنجليزية إلى العربية، ومترجمة منتسبة من العربية إلى الإنجليزية، بالإضافة إلى عملها كمترجمة فورية في مجالات المحاكم والرعاية الصحية والمجتمع. تمتلك خبرة تمتد لأكثر من خمسة وعشرين عاماً في مجال الترجمة التحريرية والشفوية.
حصلت سماح على درجة البكالوريوس من كلية الألسن، جامعة عين شمس بالقاهرة، حيث درست الترجمة واللغويات من عام 1994 إلى عام 1998.
بدأت مسيرتها المهنية عام 1998 في ترجمة مواد متعددة تشمل تكنولوجيا المعلومات، الاقتصاد، التسويق، الأبحاث التعليمية والاجتماعية والعلمية، إلى جانب ترجمة العقود والمستندات الشخصية مثل شهادات الميلاد والزواج، بطاقات الهوية، رخص القيادة، وجوازات السفر. كما قامت بترجمة والمشاركة في ترجمة عدة كتب بين اللغتين العربية والإنجليزية.
وفي عام 2007 توسّع عملها ليشمل الترجمة الفورية (التتبعية والفورية) في مجالات قانونية وتجارية ومؤتمرات. وفي كندا، تعمل منذ أكثر من سبع سنوات في مجالات الترجمة الشفوية للمحاكم والرعاية الصحية والمجتمع.
