The mandatory information session is for ALL candidates intending to register for the Associate level prerequisite examinations. These are the Code of Ethics examination, the English Proficiency examinations (reading comprehension for translators/interpreters and the editing examination).
The prerequisites are for new candidates who wish to join ATIA. For Certified members from other CTTIC member societies who wish to join ATIA and are required to take the code of ethics examination. And for ATIA members adding a new language direction or combination and must take another English proficiency examination.
At this time ATIA’s Bylaws and Code of Ethics will be reviewed, language professions will be discussed, and the examination procedure will be described in detail.

Candidates who do not attend the information session will NOT be allowed to register for the October 14, 2023 prerequisite examinations.

Location: This session is an online presentation through Zoom.
Note: You must be a Canadian Citizen and resident of Alberta or a Permanent resident of Canada and reside in Alberta to be eligible to take these examinations. Photo identification will be required to enter the examinations.
Registration for the fall Associate Level Prerequisite Examinations will open August 21, 2023. The Examinations will take place on October 14, 2023.
